In the famous words of Doctor Gonzo :

"I don't fucking give up!"

Fight by not fighting.
Don't seek and you find the path.
Love your enemy and hope that he/she/it realizes the truth.
Stop desiring change so much and focus your intent without thinking about it.
Wake up the Barbelith forum, imagine it's your destiny.
Remember that i'm even though i'm very sad and a disgrace, i could still be of use to the universe.

Have your own myth.
Find some more archetypes.
Remember that fiction and reality are mutual.

Don't rot my thread.

Help Barbelith.

Try not to question, desire or think about the method, then it becomes a 'non method' and is more effective.

Stop desiring 'change' and BE CHANGE.

Don't get so offended by this post, you'll just be proving to yourself that i'm right by winding yourself up, and that's the wrong way to go about it.

This was a download, the spirits told me to make the thread, and i want to go and live with the Wood-Elfs and learn natural magic.

You'll regret moving in with the Wood-Elfs - their floor is littered with empty take-away cartons and there are pubes on the toilet seat. Bunch of wankers, if you ask me.

I never want change, but always seem to end up with it. Why does the video store never seem to have any £5 notes?

Jack, your post would make cool lyrics to a song.

it would also make great dialogue for a short movie.

waking up is almost as easy as getting to sleep.
the difference being, you can choose to sleep, but not to awaken.
i wake up before work most mornings, but some mornings i wake up after work.
seeing as how they will fire me if i keep doing the latter, why dont i wake the fuck up?

because i dont know how.

get enough rest?
i have enough rest most days.
get a better alarm?
i have three, all good ones. one shoit one too.
find a job you enjoy enough to motivate your sleeping self to awaken?
now you're talking. is there one?

if i wake up, can you promise me i wont get into trouble for waking up late?
can you promise me that the world will be a world i wouldn't rather be asleep for?
can you show me the way to stop sleeping when you are not awake enough to act? or think controlled thoughts?

can you teach me how to think controlled thoughts when unconscious or asleep?

i want to part of your revolution, but i dont remember how.
the wood-elf ganja makes me sleepy, and my dreams always fade too quickly to teach me.

BRING on the LEARN machine.
even a gnostic dancing paperclip would do.

show me your revolution in words, or pictures, or easily interpreted dance moves.

Yeah! A song by Rage Against The Machine, or possibly Toil. Man, those guys really knew how to stick it to the Order Police.

wasnt there a planned school trip to go camping in the magic forest?

Let us pursue that line of thinking.

There's a guy outside my window also, apparently, keen on the idea of change. Maybe you guys could get together. He's got high-strength lager, you know!

07:39 / 05.03.04
Why do i get associated with lager louts? Thats the second time that's happened.

Why did you resurrect this horrible fucking mess of a thread? Can you delete the whole thing?

"Any calls for a revolution will be answered with bullshit fucking sarcasm that avoids the issue."

Well someone must of fucking said it. This threads full of it. I must of got missed out when the fucking PM's got sent out.

This threads 95% full of shit.

I think you can have discussion of revolution, social change, whatever, on Barbelith - see The Headshop for some pretty in depth threads on a variety of different issues. The best threads are normally ones people have put a lot of time thinking about the issues concerned. Rhetorical pronouncemnts etc. just won't get the same response. A lot of people on Barbelith don't necessairly go along with the whole "Invisibles/Crazy Pop Revolution" line of thinking.

... or rather, I think people accept it as an interesing idea, but only one particular package out of a whole range of other stuff.

A lot of people on Barbelith don't necessairly go along with the whole "Invisibles/Crazy Pop Revolution" line of thinking.

HAHA. Why? Because it's too practical? As opposed to neatly arranged, degree level jargon semantic mumbling that loses the point up it's own ass?

GO HERE IF YOU WANT IN : The Real Barbelith. And put your money where your text is. In the name of Barbelo and Sophia, that thread cannot be ignored.

Regrettable Juvenilia
08:38 / 05.03.04
Yeah, because your initial post was so fucking practical it hurt (see, I can swear too!). Jack, you're far from being the first person to turn up on Barbelith and tell us we're not being revolutionary enough, but that rather than engaging in political activism or discussion or anything boring like that, we need to follow your vague instructions (saying "wake up!" over and over again does not make it any more meaningful). Nor are you the first person outraged by the fact that the board ceased long ago to revolve solely around The Invisibles. I'm sure you won't be the last, either.

illmatic
08:40 / 05.03.04
In what way is the whole GM/Invisibles thing practical in any sense? Inspirational, maybe - but practical, how? I don't think that's its purpose. I think it's got a lot of great ideas out into the ether. That was it's purpose as far as I'm concerned.

If you want to change the world, y'know, go and do some voluntary work. Start a study group or begin a magickal practice. I can't see what just going off on one on the 'net achieves.
