F---in'ell: now the HSBC say they made 7 billion profit. That means they could get together with the Royal Bank of Scotland and free 13,000 people from the slavery of employment for 50 years. That's a whole town! A whole town full of people getting up at noon and pottering about a bit.

It only requires one more bank to report the same profits and they'd have enough to pay the entire nation's council tax bill (reckoned to be 18.9 billion for 2003/04).

Right, well apparently COVAD, ( COVD in the US markets, ) are trading at something like $3.50

But the smart money has it though, apparently, allegedly, that they could by like $10 by the end of the year. And then again, maybe not. Make of that what you will. Whatever you do, make an indepedent judgement, it's, er, late and I'm tired, and I can't say I'm sure what the hell I'm going on about.

Hmm, yes, as a shareholder the idea of somebody coining it in from another person's labour must make you livid. Okay, same plan as before, but the people who are freed from work have to bung in a quid at the start, and we call them shareholders. Or 'supershareholders'. And all the original shareholders who were getting a cheque for eleven pounds and seventy eight pence once a year can have their initial investment back. There, no one can complain about that, surely? Good, sound economic sense.
