Stevie DubplateĀ®...

You can find a larger version of the mini-bikes picture (it's called Bad Route) here. It's by Mexican artist / musician Miguel Calderon and was used in The Royal Tenenbaums. The story of how the painting was made and came to be used in the film is pretty interesting.

No way! Look, she's got monster sized dandruff. Ah..Warcraft 3 how I've missed you!

20:20 / 10.02.04
Ha, don't even have the game but i've fallen in love with that picture. And by the way, she heard that dandruff comment! she said to tell you that : "They are sparkly white spirit things, not dandruff, mere mortal."

Saint Keggers
20:24 / 10.02.04
Well I have played the game and the sparkly white spirit things are about the size of a large pumpkin. THAT is magickal dandruff if ever I seen it.
And when did I ever claim to be mere anything let alone mortal.

22:44 / 10.02.04
Woops, sorry Keggers, just messing around.

Mine is just infinitely fanboyish and unoriginal. I could use the fact that I'm fifteen as a justification for my half-crazed-geek attitude, no? No? Oh.

Anyway:

I love it. The words Wicked Plastic Slut always pop to my mind when I look at it. Cause, u know. She's wicked. And clad in something that *looks* like plastic. And... well, you know. A slut.
More of a bitch than a slut usually, but nonetheless, to an extent, a slut.

Seriously, though, I guess it's the clash between the weird sexual position she's in and the repulsiveness of her figure that make it brilliant. At least as far as I'm concerned. Like the ink on her body and the colouring too. Bit rushed though, but then, everything by Kordey on New was.

(and... I apparently failed miserably at getting the pic posted on the thread. Nothing new there.)

This is an old FRACTINT grab that I loved so much it has followed me from PC to PC for ten years. Despite the shrinkage due to better desktop resolution, I still love it so.

This was left outside my room by my brother as a joke. I rather liked it and so it's stayed.

At work I have Katakana tables, so that if I get too bored, I can try to memorise them. At home, I have this and am not entirely sure why:

Could I ask contributors to this thread to check out this page of the FAQs for handy-dandy info on posting images, with particular reference to resizing frame-breaking images?

That Kordey image looks a LOT better in black and white. The more I see Igor's work, the more I am convinced that his work tended to get butchered by the colorists.

When I can aford it, I like to buy anime, so I've been using this paper from this site, from the anime Witch Hunter Robin. Red haired girl in glasses, what's not to love?

Telyn- that's really cute! Is there a story behind the joke?

@ gingerbop:

You've sooooooo gotta buy those boots.

Do it. It's one of those things (like not giving away your first-born) that if you don't do it, you'll regret for the rest of your living days.

Go with the heart, like, and everything.

This topic inspired me to finally change my desktop...

"If this art depicted the destruction of Government buildings in Bagdad or Kabul would we pay attention?"
Jimmy Cauty's latest project, Blacksmoke.
Hey, with a moniker like mine, would you expect anything less?

@Matthew Fluxington (or just Flux? I'm an unexperienced lurking wimp, don't hit me :P)

I kinda agree. I guess the thing is, Kordey seems to usually draw and ink the shadows as well, so when his work is coloured, you have the previous shadows he drew and inked plus the ones that the coulorist is trying to create through different tones. It just ends up looking wrong. In this case, though, I'm not too bothered by them. (And could you possibly provide the link for that pic? )

You know, the "width" element is a very simple one. As such, any more pics I have to moderate on this thread are going to become progressively smaller. That one was 300, the next will be 250, and so on. Please check the FAQ for more info.

Meanwhile, speaking of wallpapers and thence desktops, I am having fun with Talisman, which provides customised skinned desktops in much the same way Mozilla Firefox does your browser. It's fun...

Just looked up Talisman, Haus, and must say that it sounds pretty funky. It's now made a new entry on my Chart Of Things I Must Try Out, If Ever I Find The Time, Like, and will probably be properly looked at at around the same time I buy a 90" holographic monitor.

Oh, and I must add that Mozilla Firefox is just about the best thing to happen to surfing since Apocalypse Now. Killer app, for sure.

Francis Bacon. Still a pin-up, really, albeit a less embarrassing one than previously.

Talisman is cool as is Aston (more or less the same but easier to customize) - I've been mucking around with StyleXP which is great for getting rid of the horrible look of XP...

Francis Bacon gives me the horn....

My wallpaper at work is a photo I took of a bridge near where I live:

My wallpaper on my brand spanking new 17" Powerbook at home looks like this:

Click to view more sizes of both.

There's not a lot of 1440 x 900 wallpaper out there but what there is seems to be really nice.
