so I'm still not done with the monkey business....

i just went through the photos i took during our new years eve party, and I realized that one of the decorations in the main room was a life sized monkey!!!! well, actually its an ape. close enough.

and here are some YOTM-related comments from an expert on chinese astrology, it's quite positive stuff. do read it!

On January 21st 2004, we officially wave goodbye to the Year of the Water Sheep and launch into the Year of the Wood Monkey.

You may have noticed that the Water Sheep quietly moseyed in last year and performed a Deep Cleanse on your entire life... The combination of the Sheep's extremely Yin (introspective) energy and the Water element's spiritual focus shed an unerring light on what needed to be cleansed, balanced, or reinvented in our lives. For many of us, it's been a very healing and maturing year, with wave after wave of opportunity to clearly see, deeply contemplate,  and mindfully change what's no longer "holding water (spirit)" in our lives.

Your innerwork, and the attendant changes you've made in your life, have cleared the way for the incoming energy of the Wood Monkey. Get ready to lift your head high and spring forward into new activities, relationships, and  opportunities. The clever Monkey is about to swing in with the Wood element's intuitive focus, giving us the gift offoresight and the desire to expand into new territory. Considered a particularly lucky year, we are all encouraged to express our brilliance and stretch OUT as pioneers, innovators, and cocreators in the world. The Monkey is also quite "chummy" and fun-loving, inspiring all kinds of personal and professional relationships to flourish. This is the year to step from the depths of inner purification into the heights of outer possibility.

How wonderful!

Before the Sheep finally meanders away on January 21st, consider whether you've completed the cleansing necessary, both within yourself and in your environment, to step fully into a whole new world ofopportunity. Your connection with spirit and your ability to move forward with grace and ease will be your greatest assets as the New Year lifts you up and carries you swiftly forward. Prepare the way and enjoy every moment!

Mediapathic: It may be significant, re your 373/LOGOS prediction, that Terence McKenna has said that the voice which the user of big big doses of mushrooms hears is, indeed, the LOGOS. Hmm.

Hmmm, h3r, that seems to coincide quite closely with what 2003 was like for me... thanks!

I tend to see NYE as a highly magickal event. Its ritualized partying for me. But a part of that is in using the party itself as a form of divination for the year to come. Mostly on the personall and tribal levels for me, but to some degree on the macro level as well. So in taking that into account, my reading for the year goes about like this:

There will be new things. New technologies and toys, coming faster than before. Faster than we might be ready to deal with. Expect some recklessness in early adoption of new technologies this year, which might cause some occasional problems. Fitting with the Year of the Monkey and all.

There will be some trouble makers, and some fighting, but nothing like there was. Intolerance towards violence will grow, which might mean yet more cracking down on "terrorism".

Enlightenment gets a boost, as more people will open their eyes to new ways of looking at the world. The cultural revolution continues to move forward, and picks up a little speed this year.

New ideas and change are present, that are hard for many to accept. Lots of resistance to change that can not be prevented, that is troublesome at first but ultimately (probably) something good.

And lastly, better than last year. Thank God.

Thank god ( well actually god had nothing to do with it) but as i was saying, 2003 was a shitty year. i only got to bang 4 prostitutes and a midget. i'm hoping this year i'll get to throw in a crippled bitch to the mix, but we'll see. any way i think i can exceed my goal as long as i keep slipping them some ruffies. any way good luck to me and yes that is it

David Blaine will eat himself from the inside as well as uploading his conciousness onto the net, a la Lawnmower Man - after he's psychically terminated a vast colony of Killer Bee's in Texas!!!!!!!
