oooh... or a twis, wher Mario kills then becomes the Predator, and blasts off in the predator's killin' wagon (loaded up wit' Alien Heads and shit!) to wreak his low-rent Vengeance on a cruel galaxy.

Yeeeaaah...we understand Haus. I shouldn't have any expectations of you Haus, but your review was more humorous than informative and I don't know where you are going with it...somebody who was previously the predator...becomes the prey.

....*scratches head...looks perplexed*

OKay....reviews? I tell ya...sad, sad reveiws for one of my....well, not-favourite-but-I-love-it-anyway movies.

Darryl Hannah, who demonstrated her pole-dancing skills on Thursday’s The Tonight Show, to Jay Leno on how working at a strip club prepared her for her next movie Dancing at the Blue Iguana.

"I had to learn how to dance. Most of my research was backstage. I was so nervous about learning how to dance that I would forget how to strip." ~Ms.Hannah

So, what's your dream Mario van Peebles movie? In my dream Mario van Peebles movie, MvP (as he shall henceforth be known) is a vat-grown ninja assassin, who due to a miscalculation by the mandarins who created him is only six inches tall. Released into the jungle, he finds the nights a bit chilly, because he has no shirt. The shrews, at first suspicious of this tiny killing machine, at last realise his plight and, by linking claws, form a lovely warm living poncho. Made comfy and cosy, MvP (who is the "MVP" in the team of my heart) devotes himself to protecting all members of the genus soricidae.

When not fighting their enemies or hunting earthworms, he knits them pyjamas.

But the real quest May is: Was it better than Showgirls?

That should have been question, not quest.

well Haus... mine would be:

Peebles Vs. Larry Flynt- Woody Harrelson and MvP
Ruthless Peebles - Danny Devito and MvP
Ordinary Peebles - Redford directs Mvp
Cat Peebles - Natacia Kinski and MvP

or some horror flick where Haley Joel Osment can "see dead Peebles"

Hmm..these are my only choices? I would have to say, "hell yes!". Of course, Gina Gershon...*drools on keyboard*...'nuff said.

Why are there no intelligently directed movies about erotic arts and industries? Does removing one's clothing automatically make everyone very stupid?

I feel MvP, although he would no doubt contribute a performance of rare sensitivity as the Predator, would really come into his own as Predator 2.

Tip top. Getting into the swing of this Barbelith thing. Mildly disappointed that the Denfeld/Denfield fight fizzled out to nothing, wasting all that comedy potential. Still can’t sleep.

What’re you doing up at this ungodly hour, if you don’t mind my asking?

I work nights... press monitoring. (Basically, reading newspapers.) So currently what I'm doing is trying to stay awake!

Dude, that sounds like a great job. Working nights is soooo much better that working days. Years ago I used to do the late/early shift in a 24hr petrol station, sometimes I think it was the best job I ever had: Eight hours of just reading a book, topped with watching the dawn come up across the Lincolnshire fens.
(Sigh) those were the days... Anyway, reading newspapers: what’re you monitoring for?

Apologies if you’ve answered that questions a million times already on lateshifts past

A company called Xtreme Information- we have hundreds of different clients to read for.
What are you doing awake?

Fell asleep in front of my brother’s fire this evening, like an idiot. Add to that a brisk walk home in the cold, now I’m WIDE awake. More awake than I’ve ever been, probably. I don’t think I’ll ever sleep again.

Just been acquainting myself with the Barbequotes thread
