Sounds like you're pushing it to the limit. Nothing wrong there. I've had similar experiences at times when I've gone really into the experience of stillness. I start to feed the opposite pole with ecstatic trances, and things get weird pretty fast. Weird is good, actually. It means that I'm doing some serious ego-messing.Things talk to me, I'm OK with that, as they usually make sense. They often seem to get the most vocal when I'm unsure of myself. Personally I think that it's important to take magick to the limit, otherwise it's too safe. It becomes a reflection of one's "self", it becomes comfy. Still, there have been times when I've realized that some serious earthing was in order. I've always known that I've needed that when things start to get that "crack up" feel. One thing about spirits though, I always let them know that I make up my own mind about things, I don't take orders. If they have a problem with that, well, I don't want to be friends. I have a teaching spirit/diety, (honestly. I'm not sure which it is), that is very in the face, literally. She drives me in my magick and other things. Still, I always carry veto power, even with her. I do see her visually. Not anthropomorphic, more like a force like wind that flies up right in my face with two eyes. Disconcerting, but powerful. Other spirits basically talk in my head, some times I can see them visually. There's one thing that I know though. I know all sorts of mages that seem to have these experiences in some form. Voices, visions, just about everyone that I know that works serously in magick seems to have these kind of communications from time to time. They may come and go, but there they are. I personally think that they are a good sign, a sign that I'm on the right track. Of course, it does occur to me that if I talked about this to people not into magick, they would be horrified and quite frightened, as the society sees these things as a sign of illness. In tribal socities, these things are seen as gifts. |
