Would it be a bit much to nominate one of the 'Steve' threads here ? And if not, which one ?

( No links as such because a) I've never re-ally got the hang of the linky thing, and b) I like all of them too much to decide. Oh, and c) no wish to cause any offence to a present board member.

The Peter Sotos thread in Books is a proper, hardcore read.

Virtuoso performance by Sypha here.

I've never even read one of Sotos' books, and frankly don't know if I care to, but I think this is exemplary stuff.

This thread, and it's spawn still make me laugh. I mean, there's pie and gobbledygook and Spatula Clarke (or E. Randy Dupre as ze was known as back then) declaring "Witness my large pie!".

Not just a classic Convo thread, but a classic Convo thread about classic Convo threads... reimagined as Red Meat comic strips.

I immediately thought of the epilepsy thread as well.

This is probably too recent to be a classic, but still, I loved the first night--the first three pages or so?--of this lateshift from way back in Jan '05...

Alex is right,
Gee wiz guys, I mean what the fuck, I cant believe the adventures of

THE WINGMAN -featuring Steve-

didn't make the front page!

If the reason is indeed that people are being respectful, well then hot damn, thanks. But by all means, someone throw a link up.

Oh yeah, the pies!
And of course Spatula's "witness my tiny gentleman".

alas- I agree, it's the best LS so far. Although I just re-read it, and saw my own bizarre prophecy-
Like a porcupine, except you can only hear it through one ear.
A scant ten days or so before I lost the use of one ear. Spoooky.

this thread is probably my favorite example of a stupid premise begetting AWESOME responses.

Laptop Terror Images: am I the only one?

See, I'd mentioned that I wanted some neat image to paint on my laptop - and said that I either wanted the RAF (Royal Air Force) roundel, or else maybe something involving the Baader Meinhoff Gruppe (Whose initials, you may recall, are also RAF - this time for Red Army Faction).

The ensuing discussion sort of ruled, though I'm still in the air about what to paint on my computer.

junior chastity league, that thread made me laugh my ass off. So that was the infamous Knodge, eh? Fucking hell.

Mordant C.'s epilepsy thread was so intense, it gave me goosebumps, by the way. I can only imagine reading it live. I also have it on my hard drive now.
