It's really very easy to get one!

Sax, when you get round to posting a picture I think it's about time we had a 'cheesy cute pictures of the 'Lith kids' thread, so you can be the first to start it with wee Charlie - he being the newest member.

Wow. I didn't expect such a wonderful response, honestly. Thanks a lot, folks.

That was some experience, I can tell you - as are the sleepless nights.

I can't believe childbirth in the 21st Century is so... medieval. If it was down to me, it would be knock me out and give me a baby when I wake up, really.

As it was an induced birth, everything that could be complicated was. At one point it went very Holby City - running down corridors pushing a bed and bursting into a room full of doctors and nurses and frightening equipment. Very medical indeed.

Then there was blood clots and midwives pummelling Mrs Sax's stomach to get them out... well scary.

But mother and baby going great guns now. Charlie so far likes The Smiths, Orbital, Bobby Darin and The Pogues. Which isn't bad for a one week old.

Thanks for all your thoughts, folks, now back to business as usual. Let's FUCK SHIT UP... but only to make the world a better place for the little ones, eh?

Oh yeah, almost forgot:

Sax and son!

Piccy! Yay piccy! I realise I'm being jerked around by my genes here, but babies are just insanely cute.

The birth sounds utterly traumatic-- glad that all concerned are well.

That's the first pic I've seen of you, Sax, and it's fair to say that your kid looks more like the you in my head than the you in the flesh do. Does. Thing.

I recommend something from DookieWear.

I'm particularly fond of the "Spawn of Freaks" rompers.

Popped in to see how Charlie Sax was, and to mention that Aubrey Jackson was born just after noon on Sunday. One minute later his brother Arthur joined him. Both babies are around the 6 lb mark, are unbelievably beautiful, and are doing well. Mrs J is rather shattered but very happy indeed.

Blimey, well done that Cash Jackson. Or rather, well done Mrs Jackson. If you were anything like me, you probably just sat there helplessly pulling faces like Beaker off the Muppets.

But - twins! Arthur and Aubrey are very imposing names, as well. They are likely to be Victorian explorers and adventurers when they grow up, methinks.

Congrats. I'll open the champers later.
