It's been my dream. But all I had in the end of my first try was a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, no job, and a hatred for business. So try#2 involves becoming a teacher.

Anyone here been to the pyramids? I haven't.

I so want to go to the pyramids! I was supposed to when I was a kid, with the Young Archaeologists Club (no, really) but I didn't get a place. (Possibly due to my behaviour the year before in Cornwall, but I'm not sure...)

I was born in Botswana, and have been, when very young, to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania and Swaziland. Been back to Tanzania a couple of times since, as my grandparents own a farm there. Also been to Denmark, France, Germany and Holland. And airports in Saudi Arabia, Norway and Uganda.

There may be one or two I'm forgetting...

When I was growing up, my papito, who is in sales and travels a lot for his job, used to take the family with when we had school vacations and such. As a result I've spent time in just about every major city in the U.S., and I've been to all of the contintental U.S. states except for I think West Virginia and New Mexico. I've spent a li'l time in several Canadian provinces and Euro-wise I've been to the U.K., France, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the Czech Republic. I think in the future I want to go to more European countries and also Asia and Africa.

Our Lady of The Two Towers

I must admit I've not got much interest in the rest of the world. Not in a George W. Bush 'there is no world outside the US!' kind of way, but I don't have much of a desire to go out there right now. I think it's the travelling aspect that puts me off, unless I'm actually walking travelling really bores me and I have to struggle to take my mind off of the mind-numbing tedium of it.

So thats Mars on my list of places I definitely won't be going to.

Never been to the pyramids... I've always wanted to see Egypt (not just the pyramids, dears) but I'd kind of have to go on my own and if it was a Nile cruise for instance (a cheapo one, obviously), I'd have to fend off concerned elderly marrieds all the time (I've been on a package tour before, believe me, I know what it's like). I like being on my own sometimes - I don't need sympathy, dagnammit. And I'd hate to find myself giving anyone a good hard shove into the Nile. TO be eaten by crocs.

Stoatie? Young Archaeologist's Club? Damn, I wish I'd known about something like that when I was a kiddie...

Who here would go to the moon if they started offering affordable commercial shuttles? Me would.
