KS weren't actually Nazis
And of course the funniest thing was the due care and attention they took for their second album (if memory serves correctly) not to have any artwork that looked liked, referred to, or be changed into the swastika. Of course this was blown apart be the fact they released on the anniversary of Hitler's birth.

Some people have such bad timing!

as I said somewhere up there you don't neccersarily need tickets for the DJing stuff after the conversation. Just as long as you're in the bar before the event.

And this could be of benefit to us, if some people are in before those at the conversation have come out, we can seize a decent amount of floor/sofa space to enjoy the nights entertainment. Inbetween dancing our bums off of course.

Yes, will see you there. Anyone wearing suits and animal masks, as suggested in the website blurb.

Well, my coming along is probably dependant on there still being tickets available by the time I get paid next week. But we live in hope.

I'll be suited up and i may try and get in touch with a childrens face painter and see if she can do a 'unhinged tapeworm' style

Fly...i can pick up a ticket for you when i'm there this friday if you want...

Tryphena Absent

I take it you don't need membership to get in to the ICA bar then because I thought that £4 was a day member's pass.

Ghadis - that would be fantastic, actually. First round's on me.

Fly...I'll pick one up for you Fri then...

I don't think you can get into the bar without a ticket for one of the events or you can get a day membership thing which i think is only 1.50.

anyone see the write up on this in Saturday's Guardian Guide.

Think the last line is my favourite: "...the talking will be followed by a party in the bar with DJs and the man himself (Grant) in a fox outfit. Time to get that rubber jumpsuit out of talcum powder."

Okay own up which one of us writes for the Guardian then?

Wish I had the money and crash space to attend this one...

Maybe someone should ask Grant what upstairs at the Jorene Celeste is like. Presumably after they've wavvied and said hewwo.

The Felicia Hardy Testosterone Brigade kindly emailed for a ticket for me at work last night (us stoats don't have credit cards, y'see), so unless it's sold out already, I'll be there.

Cherry Bomb
09:36 / 25.03.03
Anna according to the web site it's £1.50 for the day pass or poss. 2 on weekends. I *think* at the very least I'll be coming to the beastocracy portion - maybe I'll even break out the Cherry PVC...

13:07 / 25.03.03
not sure about buying online, but there are still tix available - you can order them over the phone if you have a credit card.

Ooh fun fun fun... maybe I'll turn up in drag, after Our Lada shewed me a picture of Frida in her grey suit I've developed a need for drag. Of course chances are I won't be able to find anything suitable.

Meeting time? And for those of us who (warning: heresy alert) are frankly not prepared to pay for conversation with this character, can we get into (and stay in) the ICA bar? I assume that's what I'll do. Oh and Fly and Anna, I owe you ten and fifteen pence respectively from last week, do remind me to give it you, the guilt is killing me here.

got the tix, but i plan on wearing my stupid man-suit.

Very boring, sleazy-sleaze. Why not a rabbit suit instead?

Am still prevaricating on this due to the danger that if he's not in the mood Grant may well turn out to be a bit crap. Will probably make a last minute decision tomorrow or Friday morning. Do we have to collect the tickets in advance or can I turn up at opening time and get entrance then?

sleazenation
17:30 / 26.03.03
Yes you can pick up your tix at the door.

Regrettable Juvenilia
18:36 / 26.03.03
I have to have a quick drink with someone who's leaving work tomorrow, so I should be there about 6.30 (the talk's at 7 according to the ICA website). Ghadis, do I have to meet you in the lobby to collect my ticket?

ghadis
18:54 / 26.03.03
I'll get there about 6.45 i guess. The lobby sounds ok to me.

MY god- 10p man, claiming that back may come under the heading of severe paranoia and quite frankly I'm probably going to be too disturbed abaout missing yet another lecture on Derrida!

12:30 / 27.03.03
Crap do you have to pay for the music later aswell - £6 for the talk and then another ticket (£5) for the music after?

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
01:50 / 28.03.03
I'll be there about 6, 6-30.

Tragedy,
When the tickets are gone and you can't get one,
It's a Tragedy,
When the Grant's in town and you can't say hi
It's hard to bear
With no seat to sit in
I'm going nowhere...

Unless! One of you lovely people has a spare.... Say it's so, say it's so.

Otherwise I'll see you in the bar. I'll be wearing powder blue.

M. Cordon Bluelaces, fear not, you shall go to the ball!

one of my non-barbie chums booked the wrong night off work, so his lodd is your gain, if you still need a ticket.

Meet in the bar at 6.30? I'll be wearing a green top with a picture of a guy on a motorbike, and will likely be with a tall guy with blonde hair and a girl with big curly blonde hair.

Cherry Bomb
08:19 / 28.03.03
I think the club night is included in the price for the talk, just based on the web site info.
