Being a superhero and doing what is good for 'civilians' will not always be mutual, and besides there can be various ways of being a hero, being a cyber activist online, is this not a form of being a 'doo-gooder' and yet we find that issues are a lot more complex than our comic book counterparts would have it.
There is a large gap between justice and the law for example, which brings up the stark contrast which there is inevitably going to be between 'hero', which stands for law and 'vigilante' which will be justice. So here do we come to the age old idea that really it is not the heros but the villains which bring about all real advancements in society? those that dare transgress against the law, are the true upholders of the future, all the great leaders in history were by their nature criminals. In their way they will be doing what is in the best interest of the people, which will not always be in the interest of the law.
so are real heroes those who dare to transgress?
sorry a bit rushed but i gotta go, ill rewrite what i mean more clearly later... |
