This fucking thing knew that I was George Bush...wow

I answered it as myself ages ago, and it guessed i was Alex P. Keaton from Family Ties. I'm Michael J. Fox! This makes me prouder than anything I've achieved in real life.

I stumped it with Joey Ramone, though (he was on the Simpsons that one time).

The unspeakable bastard .... answering as myself (with a pivotal change of answer on the question "Does everyone who works with you fear your displeasure?") it first guessed I was Joy from Drop the Dead Donkey and then that I was Penelope from Just Good Friends!

It didn;t take long to twig Pol Pot and Rimmer from Red Dwarf though.

Bah. I tried it twice, once as the fairly obvious George Costanza, and the second time as Rory from Gilmore Girls. It took a long time for it to figure out that I was being Rory, but I absolutely loathe the question that tipped it off - 'does your grandmother control your life'. Ugh. That's a terrible question. I should've said no.

Try being Mr Hat from South Park. It claims to have him on its database, but I bet it won't guess right.

I guess that you are mcgyver from mcgyver! Am I right?

Bow before me.

Last night my girlfriend and I tried the blandest sitcom character we could think of: Ben Seaver from Growing Pains. It shocked us with an accurate guess right out of the blue.

Whisky - just tried being Mr. Hat. It guessed I was Kit from Knight Rider. Ha!

I stumped it with Duckman, but then it's been so long since I've seen the show I can't be sure I answered every question accurately ...

Number of evil dictators and/or sit-com characters in database: 144915

Can this be true? Are there really 144915 sit-com characters and dictators?

well considering its got quite a variety of SF characters and people are polaying as themselves i'm guessing this is rapidily becoming and everything database.

It depends whether those who are both dictators and sitcom characters got a separate mention for each role. If they only get mentioned once then I would expect that number to be far smaller.

I win again! You are player number 62 to have chosen Optimus Prime from Transformers. I knew you were Optimus Prime from Transformers from the start, but I strung you along for a while to make it seem more sporting. I hope that one day you will overcome the powerful sense of humiliation that you now feel. Until then, good luck.

Damn it!

Am I just naive, or is that thing's accuracy awe inspiring?

Maybe too obvious a choice.

Playing as myself, it says I'm "crawl from son in law", whatever that may be. It doesn't sound healthy.

So far it's guessed most characters from Buffy, but it has struggled with a few of them. Some of the questions have been inputted by really nobby kids, by the looks of things. Or very frightening men-made-of-milk.

I have no respect for a programme which cannot differentiate between wise-cracking sidekicks. It thought I was Jazz from the Fresh Prince when it was obvious that I was Cockroach from the Cosby Show. Sidekicks are the glue that we sniff to make sitcoms good.

Got Endora from Bewitched in 8 I think. Astonishing, clever little computer. Aunt Clara took 23. Larry Tate only took 18. Darren took 33 though. This gets addictive!

Oh, and Wellard from 'Stenders only took twenty something.

When I was Exidor from Mork and Mindy, it told me I was Shaka Zulu (but I may have been wrong about his hair colour).

I have found the flaw in the program!

It did not recognize Megatron. For shame.

ooh, megatron, how did it miss that out?

The great thing about these decision tree learning systems is that they are an accurate reflection of the knowledge base of the users. So, being pop culture net users, you're competing against every other pop culture net user who's ever used it.

I'm surprised it didn't get Megatron though.

Damn, thought I had it there. Must have been the goat that gave it away. Can you belive that 245 people besides me picked Barbara from The Good Life?

(Kill me now. I beg of you.)

heh... I beat it twice... once as me...

the second as Oscar the grouch!!!
It thought I was FONZY vrom happydays...

maybe I'll try Grover next.

Well, it didn't know Ted Bullpitt from Kingswood Country. But then again, I'm not sure he's really worth recalling...

I was the 5th person to pick Peter Dragon from Action...I have to get much more obscure.

Rizla, I don't know how to break this to you, but I think you may be Pauly Shore.

I did it as myself.

Kramer from Seinfeld.

Assuming she's not the princess of power.

After reading this The Onion piece, I tried the evil dictator Willie Wonka and stumped it. It thought I was Gary from Men Behaving Badly.

Doing it as myself I got: "I guess that you are Lex Luther from Smallville! Am I right?"

Well, no. I just said I wasn't bald.

Cool otherwise, though.

HAH! Played as Buttercup from The Powerpuff Girls, and it thought I was "Vicky the girl robot from small wonder"(?). SUCKER!

Kit-Cat Club
17:56 / 29.01.03
It didn't recognise Jo of the Chalet School, so I have added her to its database - not sure whether she's a sitcom character or a dictator though... now for Miss Annersley...
