ahh, poor ickle wallflower.

you've let him go out with the sarflondon barbe-boys?

It'll all end in tears...

*wrings hands* (in style not dissimilar to that of the slavering shopkeep in *that* Michael Jackson interview. Ew )

Ah, emergency booze, could use some of that! Here is my Lord and Master home with tales of his pub crawling, sleazy pup... Well at least he wasn't mugged this time. And he has food from the 24 hour shop, yay!

ahh, bless the domesticity of it...

emergency booze is a beautiful eydea, Puck. Do you keep it in 'break glass' containers?

Friend of mine hides emergrency gear around the flat, which given he's a massive stoner, is *always* a surprise

Naked, crisp munching, inebriated wastrel slumped on couch so I shall repel all boarders from the computer for a little bit yet before he takes over and surfs drunkenly.

My emergency booze amounted to one tin of Stella chilling at the bottom of the fridge in the vegetable crisper. A pleasant discovery earlier this evening but I fear it was an insufficient quantity!

How come online time is free at this time of night, Bengali? Still have to heat and light the place, I presume. Unless you've broken in and are sitting there in the dark, illuminated only by the glare of the plasma screen.

Thank you for your sympathy. I need huge amounts of it whilst I am sooooo unwell. Hope I never have anything serious wrong with me - I'd be such a shit patient.

nah the bottem of the wardrobe and the cisten of the upstairs toilet are the last of my booze, but everybody knows that already, i think somtimes i only hide it for melodramas sake, anyway cheering up now cos ive just discover my brother has left his leftover kebab in the microwave for me, im not stupid enough to actually warm the horrid thing up and actully eat it. its just nice to be remembered (with out killing anyone)

Back from the pub. I've felt better, especially with regards to holding to my rule of never posting whilst a touch tipsy.

I've tried emergency booze, but the problem is that either I can find it, or I can't. This dichotomy seems to be the limit of sophistication that I can bring to bear on the conundrum of alcohol in need.

oh, free time because I made a friend (who's running this place atm) very happy with emergency gear.

Lurid: that sounds perfect. If you can't find it, you're probably better off without. and vice versa.

Unless you've broken in and are sitting there in the dark, illuminated only by the glare of the plasma screen.

Don't joke about such things. I am a sad addict. It'd down to you people being soooo lovely.

Yeah, that's it.

And the sympathy for unwellness is from having been there myself this past couple of weeks. NOthing seriuos, just boring boring flu. Getting better, though having smoked rather alot today was not clever and I'm sure I shall *suffer*

I know I'm a shit patient...

Sickies? Yes please

Sickness? Grrrr-hrrrmph-mutter

X- its good to hear your hes back home safe, its better to hear you worrying about him, cos that indicates you care (at least a little bit) and that pleases me. i dont know why. also you might want try hiding a four pack in the garden this time of year, the season keeps it cold, and its the last place co-habitors look.

Doubtless, you have been ousted already. But isn't it time to get a second machine so as to save you from these fights. Either that, or get a chainsaw and do a Solomon.

Don't be so quick to throw away that thought, Puck. I can see a certain naive attraction to what you describe, that some of us might find reasonably entertaining. I say that Ganesh and Xoc owe it to the community to give us a blow by blow account of their duel to the death.

It does often surprise me how late some people are on, and regularly. I like to pretend that I'm really on at 4 in the morning when in fact it's just half eleven. But you people really are... hardcore, man. Fuckin hardcore.

Like a cowlick, only one you can drink.

Everybody has to keep fingers doubly-crossed. After looking around some fucking shitheaps today in the search for housing excellence, the last place looked at was in The Forum, the pics of which I posted earlier.

Aaaand it was great.

Aaaaand it was cheaper than anything else we'd seen.

Aaaaand the apartment number is my birth year number.

Aaaaand we filled out an application, paid one week's rent as deposit, and will - references pending - be moving in next weekend!

This could well rock. I hope. I hope. I hope.

Fingers, toes and dick all crossed on your behalf, young man. Now you will only need a vespa scooter for the Nino Rota soundtrack to play all day in your head. Macche!

Hello, it's late, so I thought i'd drop by. Am heading off to bed... haven't done enough on Victorian Terrorism, but have been to see both Titus and Chicago. Both fantastic in different ways. (Trivia: Colm Feore's in both, and the lass whose name escapes me playing Lavinia in Titus was Door in Neverwhere. Which is how I recognised her).

Am now heading to bed, and am slightly unsettled by silly things I've done today.

Is her name Laura something? It's funny that you should mention her because I was trying to remember her name a couple of days ago. Anyhow I'd better get on with my work (... yeah, right).

The Strobe
22:54 / 09.02.03
Yes. Laura Fraser. Her hair's longer and she's still very pretty... but she also has the most eerily convincing prosthetic arm stumps known to man; they really DO make her arms shorter, not just flat-ended like Hopkins' shitty one. Very, very unsettling. Good performance, too... will F/TV/T the film later.

The Return Of Rothkoid

I Told You Titus Was Good.

It's all about Alan Cummings' hair.

The Strobe
23:04 / 09.02.03
It's partly about that, though Jessica Lange's tattoos really do rock bells. And it's Hopkins' best performance in years. I really liked the fact that in general they took what could be a very screamy shouty angsty play (because there's lots of nasty shit in it) and made it quite subdued and human... Marcus' expression when he looks on the mutilated Lavinia is just superb; muted, infinitely saddened by the depravity, entirely uncomprehending.

The costumes all round are fantastic... very fetishy at times on the part of Chiron/Demetrius. Just wonderful. Bar the last thirty seconds which weren't so hot. But yeah. I'll do more in another forum.

23:16 / 09.02.03
God yes, 'Titus' is a fetishist's dream. Alan Cumming and Jessica Lange steal the show, really, but yeah, that scene with the arm-stumps spawned more than a couple of truly disturbing dreams...

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
23:35 / 09.02.03
I've seen neither Titus nor Chicago. But I did see Jackass yesterday. And, damn me to hell for being an easily entertained wanker, but that's the greatest movie ever made.

I can't justify this opinion at all, other than to say- it has a midget. Who kicks himself in the head. That alone made the whole thing worthwhile. For me, anyway.
