Given that is is the day of Slayer, it's a slight co-incidence (really) that I'm wearing skinny black jeans, a black t-shirt emblazoned with a somewhat cruciform baby in swaddling clothes, and blue tennis shoes - all in all making for a somewhat thrash metal look, by accident more than design. Add in black flip-top shades, a black hat and a black 70s leather coat* when I go out and it all gets a bit too rock, really. Oh, and a (black) Bauhaus bag...
Luckily, I do not have the long lank greasy hair to go with it. Then again, neither do most metal bands these days; and I really don't wear black all the time, honestly. Not these days.
*Vegetarian-identifying footnote: I bought this second-hand about 20 years ago, so don't feel too bad about wearing it. Only a little bit. |
