Strangely enough, though I'm a 20-a-day stoat, I only smoked about 3 fags all day at Christmas. (I hardly drank anything, either- well, it was a special occasion.)

I smoked my first three cigarettes a few weeks ago. I decided that I didn't like that brand (marlborough lights) but I liked having little fire sticks. What I miss more is the hash-pipe of a uni friend. It's about 2" long and smells lovely.

I'm still up... still smoking. I've given up before, but I always get back into it. I know it has everything to do with how we skin up in the UK. Seldom pure, long and with a roach. Grrr - I hear that what the tobbacco companies do to the leaf makes smoking a cigarette akin to freebasing nicotine.

Perhaps it's a myth.

(I have the internet open before me and I'm still unsure of my facts?!)

You know, I never understood the appeal of cigarettes. It just seems undignified to have a flaming tube of tobacco hanging from your lips. Pipe smoking! Now that's where it's at.

ha. the very subject i was thinking about. Hi all.

been cutting down over the last couple of weeks (having spent previous 2 months competely chaining it)... and actually don't tend to miss it when I'm in the family home, as i never smoked when living at home. But going out to auld local tomorrow night and suspect i'll be nipping across the road for baccy befor you can say 'hopeless addict'.

if it's what I'm thinking, strafe in diagonally left to the back corner, it'll probably miss as you run. Hit/fix the switch - as long as you keep the button down, you can position yourself by the door. You may get hit a couple before you get out. I managed it without a scratch... fourth time 'round!

I'm around. Again. Vicarious playing of Hitman does NOTHING GOOD for one's mental state. But book vouchers + 15% off = good pressies for me: now have The Difference Engine, The Diamond Age and Miles Davis' Filles De Kilimanjaro (remaster) to play with. Which should distract for a while.
