Got an Idea- Etymology Question?

A lot of people create personalities for themselves online, and other places. I've heard a lot of words suggested for this, fictionsuit,para-personality,etc. For instance, mine is Puck. Puck does things that I would not, Puck takes risks. For me Puck is a tool in self improvement, a way of socializing. A lot of people do this, and for a variety of reasons. My question is, the word I've always used for it is personata. The difference from a persona is that its an entire sub-personality, a filter through which you view reality.
The difference from being multiple personality/paranoid schizophrenic is that its a conscious decision on my part. I don't know I just like the word. Personata, usable? I realize that there are already words for it.
Give me some feedback.

My friend uses, occasionally, the phrase 'vectors of personality'. I like 'personata', though - persona/strata.

*shrug*

I just say "I'm fridge". But there's not that much difference between the fridge suit and me IRL.

I have toyed with the idea of creating some radically different interwebnet personalities, but in the end, I've never really followed them through significantly.

I would suggest that Puck is in fact you, but empowered by a different medium. There's really no significant difference. For Puck to be a different character, you'd have to disagree about something, and not just about the degree of how you express it, but a significant disagreement. Is there any point where this would happen?

Puck is a rock star, I'm a novelist. Puck is often extremely cruel, I tend to go in the other direction. Puck was designed to be elemental, extremely happy/sad. I don't tend to feel a lot of emotion at all.
