I want to visit at least five cities this year, I think:

San Francisco, CA
Seattle, WA
London, England
Toronto, ON
New York, NY

If I all of a sudden come into copious amounts of money or start getting some sort of sugar[daddy/mama], I might try for more. I'm just trying to figure out

1.) Would any Barbelithians (?) want to grab a pint?
2.) Any events happening in these cities that I shouldn't miss, and should therefore try to arrange my travel schedule to accomodate?

If in London, there's a whole hoard of 'lithers (note: what term for a load of 'lithers? A google of 'lithers perhaps?) - and there's always something unmissable on. Every week.

I'd suggest end August for the Notting Hill Carnival - possibly the only time you get something for free in this City - but not if you don't like crowds. There's a thread on the this years carnival in Conversation if you wanna check it out.

Oh, and if you can afford to stay in the UK for a bit longer, the Edinburgh festival is on in September.

Edinburgh Festival. Mmmm. Notting Hill Gate Festival. Mmmmm. Possibly Glastonbury. MMMMMMM!

Goddamn it, I need to save up enough money that I just do the U.K. for an entire summer.

Glastonbury's sort of in my neck of the woods. Might be persuaded to go for drinkies.

Toronto - two words: Cora's Pizza.

Should you ever reach Sydney, though...

The only Toronto festivities that I can think of is the Film Fest in September. It's a fun city all year round of course, but between April and November is best (warm weather). I'm up for a pint, of course.

I live in Philadelphia. NY is vaguely reachable. Should you come down here, I could offer space.

If you are going to Canada you should go to Vancouver.

I'd recommend May or October for visiting San Francisco, unless you want to pack a warm coat and visit in July... and I'll buy you a pint if you make it this far west.
