I've had the live Mogwai experience, and it was really good. And also the loudest gig I've ever attended. I could hear my ear cells dying after the show (that "eeeeee" sound. Exactly, that's what it is. Ear cells dying. Just ask your dad).

And they played... Like Herod!!. Really, they destroyed the whole place. They're good. Their frontman has the charisma of a plastic squirrel, but their music makes it worth. Uncle Jade recommends it.

Really fucking good live too, though most of their records are a bit generic.

And, erm, yeah... Godspeed are ace. My fave album they've done is "Lift your Skinny Fists...", though I seem to be alone on that one, so it's quite probabal that I'm wrong.

Well, you tell that to me, at the Shepherd's Bush show about two years. They were fucking arse. Cranking up only to prematurely end. Loud? Fucking OXBOW are loud. And scary. Mogwai don't rock, for me; no spark, not enough volume, so-so riffage - they're like the comic store guy from The Simpsons in band form.
