Not to be a whiny brat about it, but isn't it time we take down that advert? I take it Tom's just been too busy to erase that bit of code?

I like the idea of having banners like that, and it might be a cool way to raise awareness of different threads and projects, but that particular one is outdated now.

Part of me thinks it'd be fun to transition from being a post-Invisibles-fan-site to a Donnie-Darko-fan-site, and have lots of conversations about how "Darko" a pop group is, or if current politicians are leading us into a "tangent universe flaw," as opposed to "the Outer Church."

Well, if there's anything for us to transition into, it's that. But....

a) I think it would diminish what we're already moving towards as a community, and we don't need the crutch of being built around one specific piece of art anymore.

b) not all of us have seen Donnie Darko

c) wouldn't we have to change the name of the place?

RE: Donnie Darko. I'd actually love to see that film, but guess what? NO wehre in a 25 mile radius of here has decided to screen it. The film is still hanging around the bottom reaches of teh UK top ten so it's fairly current.
When I coundlt find anywhere showing Donnie Drako I went and wtched XXX in a modern (built less than 2 years ago) Multiplex sharing the film with 12 other people.

Discussion about the film itself goes in TV & Films, chief.

So shouldn't someone get all the Barbelith Annotations of the Film and go ahead and create some equivalent to The Bomb?

I found Barbelith by searching for the Invisibles, finding The Bomb, and wandering over. A similar site devoted to Donnie Darko could, conceivably, attract a new flock of weirdoes.

You wanna help out? If someone tabulated all the various "subject headings" within the two Darko threads, that'd be a good start.

next step would be cross-referencing between subjects....

I started a Wiki (Yaaay, Wiki!) off the unanswered questions page, and pasted some annotations I found.

Y'all are welcome to help.

Here's what you do:
1. Click here
2. Click where it says Unanswered Questions in the second paragraph.
3. Scroll down and click DonnieDarko.
(Or skip those and just cut right to Donnie

4. At the bottom, you hit the 'Edit the text of this page' link, and then you add your annotations.
