Farewell, Mr. Coburn.

This guy seemed invincible. I'm sad.

Me too. I liked how he was kicking on. You could almost hear the whole "Arthritis? Fuck arthritis!" in his roles.

'Cept he was too much of a gentleman to say that, methinks.

Sigh.

Farewell, the world's campest knife-thrower. Sniff.

The guy trained with Bruce Lee, fer crissakes!

Aw, shit. Definitely invincible. Thankfully, BBC1 just reshowed The President's Analyst (albeit at a stupid time), so there was more-coburn-on-screen-again... but aw, shit.

My hat's off, my glass is lifted, and no, I'm not crying...must be allergies or something...
To Our Man Flint, Britt "The Best There Is With Gun or Knife," the Aussie who escaped from the ultimate nazi prison camp, and the freedom-loving Real Man who took on The Phone Company for us all...
Thanks.

Did anyone have him on the Dead celebrity bingo thread?

My favorite J.C. is Fistfull of Dynamite (aka Drop, You Sucka!). Had to watch it years ago for a class called The Bandit in History.

My favourite JC, much as I love the President's Analyst, is in Cross of Iron. Which is just a most remarkable performance in a most difficult movie.
