On 10/16/2000 Italian freelance journalist Antonio Russo was found murdered. Antonio Russo was investigating about Russia war against Cecenia and, according to a reportage by "The Observer" had found some documents that witnessed the using of non conventional weapons (probably lethal gases) by the Russian Army during the conflict.
His computer, videos and portable had been stolen.
The italian Order of Journalists does'nt seems that interested in the case and the Italian Government has done nothing at the moment toclear the strange occurrencies of Russo's death.
Does the press of any other country reported the case?

I haven't heard anything - do you have any English language info? (My Italian is not up to much, I'm sorry...)

Like there isn't a theatre's worth of proof already!

Here you can find additional informations in English. For those who can speak italian here: www.ilbarbieredellasera.com/article.php?sid=4956 you can read the story of a young italian journalist whose reportage about Antonio Russo's death has been censored by her redactors.

Of course there's the theather to prove the use of non conventional weapons by the Russian Army, but the more worrying thing about the whole story is that neither the Italian press or government are doing anything to clear the occurrencies of Russo's death.
