Kali, so sorry to hear things are going so shit for you. Uncle grant is right though, things will get better. Good idea to move to Dallas, you have friends there and they can give you hugs and stuff and be there when you need them to be.

What you're going through now is known as "the worst part." But luckily, the worst part ends.

Stick around and see what things are in store for you. I think lots and lots of good things.

Take care, girl

As much as it pains me to do it, I will have to return my house key after I remove my possessions from his house. I don't want to. I just don't want to.

That's what the US Mail is for.

And send it postage due.

Listen to Uncle Jack, too, now.

He speaks *wisely*.

And take someone with you when you go to get your stuff. Or, if its already boxed up, send someone to get it for you.

I talked with him the other night. Both of us agreed that it was very hard for both of us. He told me he missed me all the time, and the reason why he hasn't asked for the key back is because it signals a finality to this that even he's not ready for. He doesn't want me to move--not that he gets a say in this, anyway--but understands that I'm going to, and it makes him upset.

I hate crying at bars. It makes people think you're drunk.

This whole thing actually makes me think of a piece of graffiti that I saw spraypainted at an intersection near my house (it was covered up a couple weeks later): "She's like a wound that never heals."

Ouch.

No useful words, I'm afraid, except that things *do* change and get better. Take care of yourself, love.

Hey Kali,
Sorry to hear that things have been rough. If you don't want to take Jack's advice on mailing the key back, can I suggest putting it in an envelope for handing over? A little buffer might help.

And I second Bio's comment about having someone with you during the move.
