Tarquin in vol.3

Is it just me or has anyone else wondered why GM brought back such a minor Vol 1 character like Tarquin into Voloume 3, only to kill him off in the same issue. What's the point? Not only did he look almost exactly like Rossiter, but it made no sense why he was hesitant to kill someone: He killed a butler and Kate in Royal Monsters so he had been "bloodied" already! Weird...

tarquin is a re-iterative branch pattern of a larger fractal structure.
His re-iterative cycle sees him represented twice within the entire series structure.

Other charcters have tighter cycles - king mob for example - his pattern is repeated frequently - that's why we see himn so much.

Also - there's probably some alchemical equation inherent in his fate which I'm not equipped to evaluate.

With me it's like this: fractals, yeah. occult? ask someone else.

Or maybe Morrison was just bloodthirsty and felt the need to kill a character. So he thought, "H'mm, who could I kill that no one could really care about?".

Naaah, he's not a proper vegeterian anyhoo.

Anyway, he had it coming. It might also be that the stakes had gotten bigger and weirder than he could handle. He was inbred and dim, and probably hadn't really kept with the program. Hunting peasants is easy. Farming soul-less babes less so. Things were so much simpler, then. He got curious, got too close...oops.

Forgive me, I'm one of those people who like to analyze the most minute aspects of a body of work.

I was re-reading Kill Your Boyfriend for the nth time last night and noticed that the main character's teacher is 'Mr. Pennington'. Ha!
