Anti Cockfighting bill in Oklahoma

What is this world coming to. State question 687 in Oklahoma is trying to ban cockfighting. How are people in this state supposed to entertain themsleves? What's going to happen to the professional fighting cock trainers? Must they all move to New Mexico? Luckily some pro cockfighting legislaters in the state have drafted state question 698 to couteract the anti cockfighting bill. Maybe local residents won't have to resort to gambling on monkey knife fights after all.

Regardless.....I think I'll steer clear of any state which has pro cockfighting legislators.

Heh. I had a funny conversation with a friend of mine about my home state and its predilection for fighting cocks. His comment was "it's not like they wouldn't do it in nature anyhow. Cocks fight. It's just as stupid as the anti-horse racing argument. Why shouldn't we be able to bet on something like that?"

And people wonder why I moved to Colorado.
