My Little Eye (contains spoilers)

Just seen this. If you don't know much about it, it's kind of a cross between Big Brother and The Blair Witch Project - five 'contestants' spending six months together in a house in the middle of nowhere, their every move watched by webcam. If they all make it to the end, they get a $1million.

I thought it was going to be a haunted house story - there's a bit of a red herring about kids being locked in the attic long ago - but it turns out it's a snuff thing. Some of it was very creepy and well done, but I'm not sure how strong that idea is. I don't know.

Has anyone else seen it?

See me help to kill a perfectly good thread here.

Thanks for the link, Randy. If a moderator wants to delete this thread, go ahead. This comment from Janina sums it up:

"Oh but the sound in My Little Eye was fantastic, so grating, if you were going to see it at all you would have to go to hear it somewhere very loud. It was definitely the commendable part of the film and I enjoyed it when they realised why they were in the house. The bit with the plastic bag though, that sound, that was the bit I actually appreciated."

The sound was probably the best part of it for me. The reason they were there didn't ring true. A good horror film, for me, makes me feel like I've been grabbed by the lapels and shaken. My Little Eye hasn't left me with that feeling.

Don't delete this thread right away. There are probably others here who've got something to say about it - I should have started a new thread in the first place, really. Maybe Boss Tom can merge the second half of that thread with this one?

As for the sound in the film, that's something that I could well have missed out on. Our local cinema provides terrible sound quality in all its screens and we were shoved off in one of the smaller ones anyway.

That said, I've got to agree with Nick. If one aspect of a film stands out as being significantly better than all the others, there's a problem.
