I'm trying to sort out the issue of the after pub club I'll take the posse to on the 2nd. So in your opinion what are the most interesting nightclubs/venues for a saturday night? I was considering dancing, by the way.
For you to have an idea of the seriousness of the situation: because of lack of ideas, we're almost going to the Electric Ballroom. Again.

Don't let this happen.

Errrr, were you thinking the goth/industrial Electric Ballroom or the Disco version. Because the goth/industrial night is only on Friday nights.

In terms of more leftfield clubbing I would suggest:

Fabric. Never had a bad night there, but it can be a bit full-on. Massive club, generally friendly crowd. Tech-house on saturdays.

The 333. Old Street's favourite destination for the arty clubbers. Pretty big, got a nice bar, a chill-out space upstairs and a dingy basement for hardcore dancing. Dunno what is on this weekend if anything, but it could be anything from drum'n'bass to cheezy old electro.

Cargo. One of London's most underrated clubs in my opinion... It's got a bar area, a restaurant area serving tasty and cheap(ish) tapas/ "world street food", and a dancefloor with a stage at one end for live acts. Music is world/ jazz/ funk etc. This saturday is some strange latin jazz-drum'n'bass fusion thing...

If you did it a day earlier you could go and see a guy from Leicester's coolest band Ann Arbor DJ at the Silver Rocket night at the Garage - indie noise-rock satisfaction guaranteed.. (looking at the flyer right now.. one has to wonder exactly how/why people dance to Arab Strap records but, um, would be fun finding out..)

My picks for saturday night would be:

Hum at Jax (a little railway arch in London Bridge)
10-4am, £5 b4 11pm
Breaks, breaks, breaks and more breaks - Meat Katie, Dylan Rhymes and Rennie Pilgrem
Dirty raver business

1xtra night at 333
with Skitz! and Patife! (not that you need to go hear brazilian djs when you'll be off home soon anyhow...)
Hip hop and drum 'n bass
Dirty mullet business
Also £5 b4 11pm
