It came up in a song lyric I wrote for a friend (still haven't given it to him. It didn't end up being that great of a song.).
The world has bubble guts
it's gassy. It's eaten too much late night bean dip.
The are a large number of people. Thus the system of humanity (if you want to simplify so I can understand) is becoming more and more complex. With larger complexity comes larget tears in itself, until it becomes so complex it just spreads out like a fine mist into mush. Exciting stuff is still going on, but looking at the whole, it just seems... I don't know... hazy.
I was reminded this in the russian hostage thread in switchboard. Death (even hundreds of people) is less affecting.
