Frank Black's New Albums

"Devils Workshop" and "Black Letter Days". They came out a few months ago, but I've become quite obsessed with them, so I was wondering if anyone else has heard them and what they thought.

I think he's getting better and better. These albums rock like nothing else, AND now I have the Frank Black Musical to look forward to as well as seeing him next Friday!

(oddly enough, he's playing 5 nights in Toronto to start his tour, even after all their equipment got stolen here last time)

I picked them up a while back.

I think that 'Black Letter Days' is probably his best solo album, his voice is just so flexable on that album it's almost like an instrument in itself.

'Devils Workshop' I just found boring, none of the songs really stood out from each other.

Devil's Workshop was the one I put on first, and I loved it, but now that I've given Black Letter more of a listen, it's definitely much better.

From what I understand, Devil's Workshop was just some tracks they threw together after a lot of the Black Letter people left the studio.
