Ok, this forum is vast anbd chock full with information. I know very little about the whole magic/alternate faith/ cheat codes to cosmos thing, but have an instinct for it (I think) and would like to know more.

grant morrison's website has a feature called pop magic that explains sigil magick which is basically that "cheat codes to the cosmos" thing you are talking about... its really easy to do. you could find all this at www.grant-morrison.com. also, phil hine's website is chock full of things on chaos magick and such here: http://www.phhine.ndirect.co.uk/archives/index.htm

Not really a top ten list, but there's some useful info in those links. There's plenty more where that came from, you just have to be willing to go past the first page of the magick forum. Just poke around a bit and read whatever catches your fancy.

Didn't Grant Morrison mention recently that part III of POP MAGICK on his site would be up 'as an early Christmas present' to his fans? When I checked the week after Christmas, not only was Part III not up, but the links to parts I and II were all messed up and gave errors.

Anyone hear about Part III or when it will be up?

Once you start reading, if you find any idea that interests you (from shamanism to psychedelic drugs to Hermetic Philosophy) do a search on the main page of the forum. Keep it simple. You might turn up all sorts of things.
