Mythological/magickal question

I have a question for you, distinguished people of the Magick. I am being asked f you know about a male character who studies arcane knowledge, perenial philosophy or Mytholosogy; and asks a woman who corresponds to the archetype of the iniciating godess, Demeter, who answers him that he has to search a myth where he himself appears (somebody who searches for myths to deny his own myth).

So, do you know something like this?

OK, I'll explain it. A friend of mine is studiying (between oither things) something like archetypical astrology (related with tarot, I believe). He has a major in communication sciences.
One of their theories is that some persons take archetypal/Mythical structures as blueprints for their lifes' stories.
So, the woman who teaches him told him to find a myth where the central character is a storytelles/myth gatherer whom denies his own myth by talking about other myths, because she thinks that's his myth.
Hope it's clearer now.

Well, this is a stretch but, maybe like Ulysses, where your friend also encounters many mythological creatures and archetypes. Ya think?

Yep, that's the idea, he is searching for the myth that guides his life.

So far, Hellboy and Ulysses have popped out. Ulysses sounds like a more probeble one. I'll ask him later. Thanks May.
