As the abstract says, they've just come out w/ a new disc here in the US called "Power In Numbers" and are out on tour. The disc comes with a limited edition DVD of live gigs & behind-the-scenes footage. Not bad for a measly $12. Also, they're going to be on Craig Kilborn tomorrow night (Oct 10th) and there's a MTV.com story about Nelly Furtado & Big Daddy Kane's tracks on the album here.

Jurassic5.com. Get hip, y'all.

I don't like the single "What's Golden" at ALL. It is to hip hop now what Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock N Roll" was to the 70s.

Ugh.

Yeah, they make me feel like that too.

quick poll: Who's worse? Ugly Duckling or J5? If you pick one, then give your reasons for defending the other...

J5.

Ugly Duckling wear silly clothes and have a silly name, thus providing a modicum of amusement.

At least it's better than their poop first album, with it's one good tune (which is butchered from Mantronix anyway, which itself was undoubtedly nicked from somewhere else).

I hate this old-school fixation. My mate's girlfriend was trapped with some bore going on about it, and provided the perfect riposte: "Yeah, well it's lucky things have moved on since then."

J5 are nice enough, and were 'cool' for 5 minutes in 1997, but it's retrograde shit, really, which is not what hip-hop's about.
