I remember watching this film with my mum, dad and brother around 1980. It was a Saturday night, it was BBC1 (there were no advert breaks). We all loved it. I don’t know a single other person on the planet who has seen this film. I’ve done a bit of research and found it’s not available anywhere on any format. Anyone who has seen it, has similar feelings to me. Feelings and questions like these:
Wow!
How come no-one else has seen it?
How come you canny score it anywhere?
How come it’s never repeated?
SO: have you seen it?
This is what it’s about:
A plane has crashed and the cast of the film turn out to be ghosts who 'disappear' as their bodies are recovered. In the end there is one sole 'ghost' until the searchers return and find his body under the tail plane.
It’s incredibly moving. Or at least it was to 8 year old yawn.
