From a long hiatus.
Lost job various reasons meant no money and no access for a bit.
Prolonged unemployment does wonders for the activist mindset.
Various other things gone on but I doubt anyone's interested.

Watching with interest...

No job = no money = out of house and back 'living with mother' which isn't so bad or as rare as it used to be but really damages your street cred

Old letting agency and all the bills companies in the world trying to stiff us for cash which is finally sorted but means it's going to be a lot harder to rent in the future.

The only thing keeping my head above water has been some writing work which has been nice but doesn't pay a fantastic amount being a niche of a niche. Got some more stuff coming up though that should be bigger.

Been reading Planetary, a lot, and discovering the joys of buying things that people pawn off to cash converters and their ilk.

Off to the states at the end of the month on a ticket I won to a US convention. Don't especially want to go but what the hell, I'll experience Bush's home state first hand. Eww.

Went to GenCon with my writing employers, first time I'd been since before CCGs exploded and found Gencon somewhat characterless but still had a laugh.

Where is all the work?

That's what I want to know.

Oh, and the blank Invisibles badges someone made and sent round to select people from the board?

Mine vanished mysteriously on a stag night in Newquay.

Probably not, considering I don't know if a Greenock is a person, a place a thing or an event.
