Thought this might be of interest to some of you:

"Turntable Radio is Europe's first ever radio show dedicated entirely to Turntablism. Hosted by Mr Trick, it will feature tracks, sets, interviews, reports and more from the skratch scene worldwide. The weekly show will be on Sundays from 10 - 11.30 p.m on Resonance 104.4 FM, a brand new licensed radio station that covers the London area. Anyone out of the the catchment area can tune in live via the web at www.resonancefm.com. All shows will also be archived onto the internet for anyone to check - stay tuned to www.turntableradio.com for those. With reports from our US correspondant Defame of Stylus Wars, this will be something not to miss if you are a fan of turntablism.
First show goes out this Sunday (the 6th) featuring tracks from D-Styles, DJ Happee, Space Travellers, 2Tall, Rob Swift, Quest, Troubled Soul, Timestretch and more. Be there!!!"

Worth a listen, eh!!

PS I've often wondered from afar if the whole concept of Turntablism disppears up it's own bum, attempting to be TOO CLEVER BY FAR. This maybe where I'm proved wrong.

I love this turntablism lark - the more ridiculous the better.

It's almost like competitive guitar soloing except about a million times more interesting..

If I was in the London area at the appropriate time, you can be sure I'd be tuning in.

I'm away this weekend but if i get back in time I'll tape in all it's grand ridiculosness and you'll be welcome to borrow/burn it. I'm sure scratching with a bicycle won't seem as interesting over the radio tho'..

The first radio show decidated to turntablism? Ha! That's funny, and just flat-out wrong. It's not even the first one to debut THIS YEAR!

WFMU's Re:Mixology's real audio archives are available here, if you want to hear them.

And, to stretch the point a little, John Peel does a show every year from the whatyamacallit DJ Championships.. it rules.

Mr.I - that's a very tempting offer actually, thanks.

Scratching with a bicycle? Be still, my heart..
