"And this is the blogger's way: like raptors, they hunt in packs, gain momentum, pick enemies, vent spleen, and never, ever, hold back."

Like talk radio, they are dominated by the political right.

Which blogs are they reading...have I missed something? I would say the opposite. Blogs tend to be dominated by left leaning technoliterate liberals...or is that just what I'm reading. Which is exactly what the web is about - choice. If you don't want to read about the political right you don't have to - they have exactly the same online access as everyone else. It would be impossible for any one political ideology to dominate.

Most political blogs are right wing. Not so much right wing in the pro-GWBush sense, but in the staunch libertarian / pro-war sense.

I'm not making this up. Check out Instapundit's links for a tour of the more right-leaning web logs that get a ridiculous number of hits every day.

I think most everything written about blogs is hopelessly flawed, and based on the writer's personal experience, they never seem to get their facts straight and tend to omit a lot of facts. Hence a lot of the things being said over in the blogging thread over in Headshop.

There's no way of even working out how many blogs there are, let alone compiling statistics on them, which makes statements such as "they are dominated by the political right" just plain stupid. Everyone's perception is indeed personal. Nobody has an "overview" of the "blogging scene". This is a particularly stupid article, though...

The journalist Stephen Pollard, the only British political blogger on the left

It seemed a little... ummm... speculative, to say the least, when I read it. Like they had a page free they needed to fill. It did make me want to start my own, though, just to make them even more wrong.
