It's magic mushroom season and I've been out and about in muddy fields this past fortnight, hunting with no success.
Has anyone else had any luck this year, and does anyone know of a likely spot in the west of England?
Myself and some friends have been scouting around here in Ireland and so far, no luck. It hasn't rained here in the last two weeks so I don't expect to see anything until it gets a bit wet. Ireland without rain in September - the world climate is definitely fucked. I hope that the season is going to kick off late.
Speaking of which, could someone post the link to that site with recipes, stories, procedures etc. on many different drugs. The name escapes me yet again. I know it's one short word.
Not sure that rain is the key, kiddies. Mr Psilocybe doesn't like too much wetness. Everyone I ever knew that dug liberty caps used to scour the soccer pitch or the recreation ground.
We've had a very very small harvest down here (Herts) but nothing much. I'm not sure about Cardiff, I don't have any 'shroom buddies there, it's all manufactured stuff.
It must be something to do with the dry weather. This time last year I had two good harvests from Wales. I just checked this weekend and they're making a start, but tiny and impotent - not worth collecting.
This site has some locations in the West Country and around the UK. It's a nice idea but who really wants to share their favourite spots with Google?
