Mod Functions wishlist

One thing I just thought of that would be a really handy moderator function would be the ability to move an individual post to a different thread, appending it as a new post to that thread. This would come in very handy for cases where a thread deviates to a new topic and could be reorganized as such by a mod.

Just posting it as a wishlist thing, and I figured a thread for similar suggestions could be useful.

I still want a SHARK button.

What does the shark button do again?

It's kind of like the "drop poster into a roomful of bees" button. Only with sharks.

(And water, obviously. Bit unfair on the sharks, otherwise).

And I know it can be accomplished with pm-ing, but a "reason for agreement/disagreement" thingy when given a moderation request. Just laziness on my part, really.

I want a SHARK button specifically for people who don't give me a proper bloody reason for their moderation requests.

Apart from that, a merge thread type thing as cusm suggests might be useful. Not sure how practical it would be, though.

I'd really like to be able to close topics again, rather than just deleting them. But that is for another day.

ONLY NICE THINGS

A sexual tension button.

A sexual detention button.

A button which, when pressed, turns every post somebody has made on a topic into "lookit the pretty colours".

To use in rotation.

Just been PMing with a new member/old friend of mine, and he says having a "preview" button would save on a lot of his moderation requests, so he could see what he did before he posts it.

I'd never thought of that before, but it's fairly standard on weblogging software....
