I can't say I'm suprised that Bush is doing this. People everywhere want 'yes men'. It is depressing when that person happens to be in charge of the most powerful state on Earth, and can do pretty much wahtever it pleases.
What I am moderately suprised about is that he is even bothering to change the dissenting voices for more concilliatory ones. It's not like he's got a good track record of actually paying attention to the voices he didn't want to hear.
I feel I should write more on this, but whenever I get drawn into conversations about Bush I just get depressed at how much he is fucking up the world (and our wonderful PM following him all the way). |
