I don't see the use, but I believe that America likes it because they have more leverage within it than they do at the United Nations. Being a military organisation first I suppose it can organise things in a battle situation faster than the UN could.
A smaller, cuddlier NATO, shorn of it'd administration, working for the UN as it's police force would make a lot of sense, but then I'm just me, with my crazy ideas. |
