What's the difference between factor 30 suntan lotion and factor 4? My mum reckons it just lasts thirty times longer than factor one and nothing else but I can't see that. What do you lot think?

According to the SDF system, it blocks 26% more of the sun's rays.

The factor isn't how long the lotion lasts, it's how much of the ultraviolet rays the lotion screens. As I understand it, wearing factor 30 you would need 30 hours of exposure to sunlight to receive the same amount of ultraviolet radiation you would receive in just 4 hours covered in factor 4. Does that make it any clearer? No?

It's SPF, isn't it?

Factor 30?

That's a bandage.

Actually, NF, not true; 30 makes me tan quite pleasantly. Factor 60 for Kids (added whitening) - THAT's a bandage.

And remember folks, clothes are often not as UV protective as you'd like.
