I picked up a leaflet in the library today, which might interest some of you budding writers. It’s called "mind your language" and is about a series of workshops and live events in west London.
Classes include things like: writing for stage, bespoke surgeries for writers whose first language is not English, autobiographical writing, writing dialect, erotic writing and performance skills for poets & writers. There are events/readings on self-publishing, the language of obsession, love & sex and a performance evening of poetry and comedy.
Prices for workshops range from £80 (writing for stage) to £15 (bespoke), concessions are available.
The D.I.Y self-publishing event is free and the other two are £3 and £8 respectively.
