Just heard that there has been a new warning issued about mail in the US. Came on the heels of a really weird thing I saw this morning. I'm in Canada, so the Anthrax thing has been as far removed for us as the war really. But today I was driving past the offices of the Oakville Beaver (insert joke here), the local paper and was quite shocked with what I saw. The parking lot was blocked off with squad cars and caution tape and there were a bunch of people out on the grass watching. It's what they were watching that freaked me out. A van was parked next to the building and out of it was climbing a person in a hazardous materials suit. This on the heels of hearing that a Canadian special forces unit was on the ground in Afghanistan now. A little worrisome. I know a lot of arrests have been made in the US of people who have "known terrorist connections", but does anyone know if the same thing has happened here? I hate to sound paranoid (which I do and I apolgize), but this is a little close to home for me. Literally.
