I don't know if anyone else noticed this but since the doors reopend there's a feeling of freshness round the place again. There's new people jumping straght in to topics and giving some great opinions.
I don't have much to say just spreading the love.
So to all the new people welcome. Come and sit on uncle's knee.
I'll do my grandfather impression and tell you a real story.

Yes, tell me about when you were a boy.

Of course it's not just the new people I love.

Half the joy of Barbelith is discovering new words. I now add opionions to the list =P

Yes indeed. ZoCher and I were just talking about the lovely zingy feeling of freshness and vitality - like that Anxious Party Host moment when the doorbell keeps ringing, drinks begin flowing and you leave the Nobody's-Gonna-Come Zone start enjoying things in earnest.

Cumstain in my panties and jizz in my wig...

LOL! Those are perfect drink names if I ever heard one. "I'd like to order a slippery nipple, sex on the beach, a cumstains in my panties and I think I'll finish the evening with jizz in my wig."

and the new folks are grand too.

New people suck.

But first they've gotta be trained to do it right.

So, am I a newbie? *looks around at group of confused newbies milling around* Could I be one of these strange, innocent novices?

Yeah, it's good to have new ppl signing up... I'm suprised by the sheer volume. Were they all pressed up against the doors like twelve-year-old-girls at a Claire's Accessories sale?

I think it's more that the pub just closed.

I think it's great.

Yeah, it is that whole "answering the door at a party" kind of vibe... always fun.
Let's hope they stick around and contribute!

(Unlike some of us 'lithers at irl parties... sorry again, Flyboy...)

Hey! to the newbies! Got beer?

Id like to say "hi" to the five new members and their 67 fictionsuits.

Hi.

aus
13:07 / 15.08.02
Well, that's not entirely accurate. There are four new members with one suit each.

And then there's me with my 63 suits.

So, yeah, good guess but not quite on the money.

Is it just a coincidence that your id=6 and your name includes 9? Is that some sort of intentional sexual innuendo? (Not to mention the doggy thing...)

One feels so pressured to be clever when one is welcomed, doesn't one?

Clever is beyond me. But so far I have restrained myself from posting in the "labels" conversation. Do I get extra credit for that?

P.S. I'm female and queer. Now do I get extra credit?

You get three credits, plus an extra bonus ten credits for not starting a thread that said "Hi, I'm new! Please welcome me!".

How many of you new guys have been lurking, out of interest? Because a lot seem to have slid into the damp crevice of Barbelith extremely comfortably.

I lurked some time ago but spat my dummy when I wasn't allowed to join.

I haven't actually been lurking. It's just that I have been concealed all this time with my ninja stealth. And my thoughts could not be read by the naked CPU.

It is rather livley in here, I will say.

Because a lot seem to have slid into the damp crevice of Barbelith extremely comfortably.

That was so beautiful I wet myself!

Are the newbies going to be forced to pick in the Ninja v.s. Pirate debate? If so, I welcome them to decide neither. I'm a reincarnation of Dean Martin, and you can be too!

I'd like to be a ninja but I'm told I sound like a pirate.

Hooray for the new! The board seems a lot more active and fun and interesting and etc. and etc. now! Wheee!

All I know is that a fucking dracula could kick both a pirate AND a ninja's ass!

Tuna Ghost: Pratt knot hero

But Dean Martin could out-suave Dracula any day. He always prevails!

gridley
20:15 / 15.08.02
Yeah, but Batman could kick Dracula's ass...

Trijhaos
20:30 / 15.08.02
Well, Snake-eyes could kick Batman's ass.

Murray Hamhandler
20:32 / 15.08.02
Well, I imagine that I could knock Vlad down a peg, then, since I whupped Batman's ass.

And, yes, the new people are lovely. A breath of fresh, sweet, spring air blows seductively through the homey must of the old Barbelith.

w1rebaby
20:35 / 15.08.02
even if Optimus Prime could kick all of their asses

Batman reprogrammed Optimus Prime years ago! The Autobots are all Batman's bitches!!!!
