Ach, there were cancellations and last-minute dramas and rescheduling and so in the end I was permitted to remain extremely low profile instead of being the performing monkey of the day. I hung out with the one rich old lady, who was a sweetie, and we drank quite a bit and tried to remember all the names of the old men.
