Hellboy has been offically cast for some time now - it's Ron Perlman, really the only actor I can conceive in the role.
Perlman, Mike Mignola, and director Guillermo Del Toro (Blade 2, Devil's Backbone) were at the San Diego convention over the weekend for a Hellboy movie panel discussion. Mignola has done a teaser poster for the film depicting Perlman as Hellboy:
They only stayed for the first day of the con because they were immediately back to working on the film the next day... |
