Where is the nicest place to live in the world?

Where is the nicest place to live in London?

What's the best lifestyle ever?

(I'm asking because I'm ratfuck tired of having to deal with the crap associated with where I live right now and I'm thinking maybe I'll move to the flat over Fabric for some peace and quiet.)

Hmmm, possibly Norway, though I am now seeing why so many people leave London for Brighton, which I might do myself someday if I can get out of having to rely on a 9-to-5 for a living.
Brighton! Where the late night food sellers have smoked so much dope they forgot they were supposed to be cooking you a burger! Where, because they have a road called Dyke Street they have a bar called The Dyke Bar on Dyke Street! It's ker-razy!

Where is the nicest place to live in London?

Bloomsbury, though I think you have to be working full time as a professional deity to afford a place there.

What's the best lifestyle ever?

Professional deity? Or the guy who writes the scripts for the continuity announcer on Channel 4.

Well you know what they say; "If you're tired of London, you should move to Birmingham."

I like Dijon, myself. And Philadelphia. The latter because it reminds me of the former, while also reminding me of NYC. And because of the Italian market and that great beer store (I forget where it is) that has so many different types that you have to shop by theme or blow a fuse in your brain (I did mythical beasts and infamous characters. All kinds of Pirate beer!).

Lifestyle-wise, I think that I was happiest when I lived on a farm. Although I was pretty damn happy when I was on severance pay for almost 6 months and living in the city. I think that the best lifestyle is to not be part of the workforce, but to have a lot of personal projects, and enough money to live on.

I haven't spent a whole lot of time in London, so I don't know about that...

depends what you want out of London. In general, anywhere on the tube means you can at least leave it if you hate it. I'd rather live in a shitty place close to the tube, than a not-quite-so-shitty-but-still-crap place some way from it.

I've got a room that's free, you know... half an hour to anywhere near Oxford Circus...

I'll bet that the nicest place in the States is San Francisco. I haven't lived there yet, but it's the nicest place I've ever visited. I loveloveloveLOVE San Francisco.

No idea about London but in my limited experience of the world, well, Aviemore in the Highlands is sublime when the weather is fine. Happening, yet small-townish nightlife, beautiful scenery and tons of sports.

Brittany is sometimes so lovely to think about that it keeps me up at night. Vibrant celtic links and nightlife, friendly people, beuatiful towns and villages and near enough to Blighty that you pick up the footy scores on the wireless.

As for lifestyle, I liked being a student actually. Plenty of time to relax, concentrated study in a subject of interest and a great social life. Ideal lifestyles change as you get older though, I'm sure there will be plenty of suprises for all of us if we have the courage to try new things.

um...Abigail...whyPhilly?

I think the beer place you speak of is The Foodery and yes they have mucho great beer. And the italian market is swell. Used to live literally between the two and that was a pretty good chapter of my life.

Though after awhile, Philly starts to get to you...like most places I guess. Problem is I don't know where to go from where I'm at either.

NYC has plenty of stuff to do but I feel like it may swallow me up in too much city and not have the balance I'm looking for. I guess a place that's kind of rural, a place with broadband access, and a bullet train to a somewhat nearby interesting city would be on my list.

Any suggestions..?
