here is a picture that I'm working on for a web site that I'm setting up. The idea is to use painted images which resonate with amagickal vibe. I'd love to have some feedback on teh design, or even some sigil charging.

i think a handmade design is sweet for web graphic action -- how will you incorporate it until the overall design? i see the six points as possible button, each circle clicking to a section, yeah? it's nice to do something drawn/painted but still well designed within the context of webwork, when so much of the good stuff is tight vectorama. uh huh.

You are correct with the assumption that the six spirals are the buttons, which will be labelled with a rollover name appearing in the centre of the design. My interest in hexagrams is mentioned in another thread.
I want to link the site together with itterations of the six, within sub divisions. I've sketched some phisical maps of this idea and it creates a great fractal, similar to kosh's snowflake (spelling). The colours will also be used in site navigation, where data stored will lie between the primary six, creating shades.

My 2cents:

Use flash... so the Navagation can float invisably over the Bimaps image...

animated roll overs and souch could be really sweeeeet!!!

I've knocked up working version using rough sketches on Fireworks. The rollover area on each spiral is linked to hot spot. The rollover triggers smaller paintings on other layers to describe the link.
Would be glad of the advice re:animated rollovers, Flash, its a relatively untravelled piece of software to me.

That is gorgeous and sounds like a very intersting project! Be sure to post the final link here!!
