DMK stands for Donald Michael Kraig. Back in April or May, I proposed that as a group, we work through said author's book, Modern Magick: Eleven Lessons In The High Magickal Arts . Right now, we've only gotten up to lesson two. I'm not sure how many people are still participating since very few people are actually posting to the threads.

Well, I've been sticking with it (mostly). I'm finding that I have more than a little bit of resistance to the whole Judaeoxtian framework; magickal intent is a little difficult at those times when it all feels really silly.

I think the main reason people might not be posting that much is that if you do each lesson for a month, the tail-end of the month isn't very thrilling to write about. It's certainly the case for me!

The other problem being that said book isn't readily available in some countries and costs a fortune to import. Would be really interested to try though ... but will have to save up to have the book imported. Tried finding the book in electronic format via Google, but failed miserably.

ShadowRain: You might want to keep an eye out for an Israel Regardie text called "The One Year Manual", which covers a lot of the same material but in a much, much more condensed manner. I think the lessons pretty much overlap (I'll double-check my copies in the next couple of days); it's a smaller book by a better-known author and might be easier to find.

Ack! Looks like DMK & the Regardie book only converge for the first few chapters, then DMK starts getting into the ritual magick a lot more. "One year manual" is still a good book, but I don't think it'll help you follow the DMK lessons we're working through.
