OK, here's the deal: In September the new academic year starts. This is the thread where we speculate what's going to the the Big Thing among students this Autumn/Winter. Example: When I was a first-year, brit-pop was all the rage and you couldn't move for Oasis and The Verve posters. What's going to be the equivalent in '02/'03?

Addendum: Those of you who live in the US can help those of us in the UK out by stating what the Big Thing is in your country at the moment, as it's sure to be imported back to 'ol Blighty by all those kids working as summer camp advisors and bar staff in Boston.

I was going to put down something hilariously puerile like 'Taxidermy' but it would probably be vastly more interesting to try and guess correctly then see if we're right.
