MADE
This, is a very good film - Shot for five million dollars, it stars the Swingers duo of Jon Faverau and Vince Vaughn, and is written by Faverau, who also wrote Swingers - A very talented guy!
I liked it. It's a sort of laid-back crime story, but with all the cool stuff you liked from the absolutely ace Swingers - Besutiful babies, money, Vince vaughn and Jon Faverau bouncing lines off each other like they've been doing it since High School. It's just really impressive when you consider it was made for so little and yet still beats the pants off billion-dollar blockbusters like Spider-Man and Star Wars.
Also starring Famke Jansen, Columbo (I kid you not) and Puff Daddy (who actually proves to be very good in his role). And you really don't want to miss the cameo by Screech out of Saved By The Bell - it's funny. Well, I laughed.
The story is simple and cool. The shots are laid-back and cute. It's easy on the mind and easy on the eyes, and at eighty minutes, if you're after a sophisticated, friendly and just damn cool movie, it really don't get much better. If you dug Swingers, this comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! |
